Assistant Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Parami Energy is engaged with several international partners in exploring novel and unique concepts to build and expand Myanmar’s energy infrastructure. One key initiative involves the provision of safe, reliable and affordable energy to local communities via mini-power grid systems utilizing conventional and unconventional power generation technologies. Such schemes, which are very much aligned with the Governments’ energy objectives and priorities, are acting as a catalyst in attracting foreign direct investment and boosting the economy.

Main Tasks:

The Assistant Engineer will work closely with the Power Team in order to develop Parami Energy’s mini-grid program in rural areas of Myanmar. He/she will assist the project engineers in different tasks, including office work, site identification, site surveys, system design (generation + distribution) and specification, bid document preparation. He/she will be based in Yangon, with potential tripson site. He/she needs to be familiar with the solar engineering.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2years’ experience
  • Experience in the use of modeling and design software to design and plan of tangible systems
  • Knowledge of solar engineering and distribution lines is an asset
  • Pack office

Electrical Engineer

Such schemes, which are very much aligned with the Governments’ energy objectives and priorities, are acting as a catalyst in attracting foreign direct investment and boosting the economy.

Main Tasks:

The Electrical Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and the Power Team in order to develop Parami Energy’s mini-grid program in rural areas of Myanmar. He/she will have to manage the design and theinstallation of several 400Vdistributionlines (and potentially 11kV transportation lines). This includes the installation of concrete poles and electric lines. Will work closely with EPC contractors and will be responsible of the progress on site. He/she will be based on site and will have to travel frequently. Tasks will also include site identification, site surveys, system designand specification, bid document preparation, as well as procurement and sourcing.He/she will help to identify strategic equipment suppliers and engage suitable EPC contractors.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in installation and maintenance of distribution lines
  • An experience in mini-grid development would be a big asset
  • Experience in managing EPC contractors required
  • Experience in the use of modeling and design software to design and plan of tangible systems
  • Experience in designing and developing bidding documents
  • Knowledge of commercial 3-phase electrical installations and grid connection requirements and protection.
  • Knowledge of house wiring installation in rural areas
  • Technically self-sufficient
  • Ability to train other people on basic/advance technical aspects

Solar PV Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

One key initiative involves the provision of safe, reliable and affordable energy to local communities via mini-power grid systems utilizing conventional and unconventional power generation technologies. Such schemes, which are very much aligned with the Governments’ energy objectives and priorities, are acting as a catalyst in attracting foreign direct investment and boosting the economy.

Main Tasks:

The Solar PV Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and the Power Team in order to develop Parami Energy’s mini-grid program in rural areas of Myanmar. He/she will have to manage the installation of several small scale solar power plants (civil work + M&E). Will work closely EPC contractors and will be responsible of the progress of the work on site. He/she will be based on site and will have to travel frequently. Tasks will also include site identification, site surveys, system design (generation) and specification, bid document preparation, as well as procurement and sourcing.
The engineer will contribute mainly (but not only) to planning and management of off-grid PV systems (including) hybrid systems. He/she will be expected to be familiar with systems that include storage,diesel genset, and/or complex load management systems. He/she will help to identify strategic equipment suppliers and engage suitable EPC contractors.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years field experience in PV engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience on solar mini-grid projects
  • Experience in managing EPC contractors
  • Experience in the use of modeling and design software to design and plan of tangible systems
  • Demonstrated experience planning commercial solar PV systems with focus on engineering design, construction document development, construction oversight and installation practices. It is expected that the engineer will have designed embedded systems of at least 100kWp in size and will have a sound knowledge of off-grid PV design and planning
  • Experience designing and developing bidding documents, including knowledge of PV system components, wiring practices, layout, low voltage AC design, medium voltage design, relay protection, metering, utility interconnection requirements etc.
  • Knowledge of commercial 3-phase electrical installations and grid connection requirements and protection
  • Deep analytical ability; in particular analyzing load evolution, energy figures and statistic and be able to understand them and extract the valuable/meaningful information for potential projects
  • Technically self-sufficient
  • Ability to train other people on basic/advance technical aspects

Logistic Manager

  • The logistic manager will work closely with a team of 5 people for the construction of a solar power plant in Magway Region (Yesagyo Township)
  • He/she will be responsible for the transportation of the material (i.e solar panels, electrical items, cables, concrete poles…) from Yangon warehouse to Pakkoku, then from Pakkoku to the Island of Yesagyo (need to cross the Chindwin River). Road conditions are bad on the Island of Yesagyo.
  • Some items will directly come from Magway Region
  • The logistic manager will be traveling a lot. From Yangon to Yesagyo, and inside Magway Region. Will often have to stay on site for several days in a row
  • Will be responsible of the good routing of goods

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of similar experiences (logistic from Yangon to countryside)
  • Should be available within 1 month
  • Myanmar only
  • Good English level
  • Resourcefulness and willingness to carry out the project

Assistant Geophysicist

Qualification as follows:

  • Degree in B.Sc (geology) D.A.G (Geophysics)
  • At least 3 years experience in Seismic Survey Acquisition Work
  • Age not more than 40 years
  • Have good health and able to work in field
  • Fluent in English
  • Able to work with computer especially having knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Preferable having knowledge in other geophysical software application

Call Center Staff
